Larry has been a shareholder at SKDO for over 30 years . He believes SKDO is a great organization to work at and our internal attitude projects through to our friendliness to our clients and other professional relationships.
Even though Larry spent the first ten years at the firm primarily involved in governmental audits and income taxes; he now devotes all his time to income taxes, estate and gift tax issues and business valuation. He enjoys, very much, working with clients to solve their estate tax problems and business valuation issues. Business valuation services are beneficial to clients in buy/sell situations as well as supporting the transfer values for gift and estate tax situations.
Larry is a graduate of the University of Illinois, having obtained a B.S. degree in accounting in 1970 and a M.A.S degree in accounting in 1978. He is a CPA, CVA (Certified Valuation Analyst) and also has the credential of PFS (Personal Financial Specialist) in addition to holding a life insurance license.
The above credentials allow him to provide the professional information to serve the clients of the firm with the most informed solutions.
Taking off the green eye-shades (in his words); He has a wonderful wife of 47 years and three sons and daughters-in-laws. They have provided him with one grand son and five grand daughters. According to him, his grand daughters have shown him why God did not give him any daughters since they are able to wrap him around their little fingers very easily. Larry also enjoys golfing, even though he claims to not be very good.
Larry is an active member of the United Church of Christ in Grant Park and a past president of the Grant Park School Board for fifteen years. Currently, he is the Supervisor for Sumner Township.
