Michael serves as the manager of the Herscher office. He graduated from Illinois State University with a B. S. degree in accounting in 1978 and passed the CPA exam in 1978. Michael earned his MBA from Lewis University in 1996 and he has been with SKDO since September 2010.
Michael serves small business clients in various industries, with an emphasis in the food service industry. He has experience in business and individual income tax preparation and accounting services.
Michael is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. He has been involved in numerous community activities and currently serves on the board at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Bradley and is Vice-President of the Herscher Chamber of Commerce. Previously he has served on the boards of the Community Foundation of the Kankakee River Valley, Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Kankakee and the Kankakee River Valley Forest Preserve District.
Before joining Smith, Koelling, Dykstra & Ohm, P. C. Michael held accounting positions in public accounting, a hospital, a manufacturing company and educational institutions.
Michael has two adult children and one grand child.
